How to Play Yard Pong

Two people playing a giant outdoor cup game on a lawn, with a red-brick house and flowering bushes in the background.

Objective:
Eliminate all your opponent’s buckets by tossing balls into them, all while enjoying a fun twist on a classic party game.

Instructions:

  1. Setup:

    • Arrange 6 buckets in a triangular formation on each side of the playing area.

    • Fill the buckets with water, sand, or small weights to keep them stable.

    • Mark a throwing line a fair distance from the bucket formations.

  2. Taking Turns:

    • Divide players into two teams.

    • Teams take turns throwing a ball, aiming to land it in one of the opponent’s buckets.

  3. Bucket Removal:

    • When a ball lands in a bucket, that bucket is removed from the game.

    • The team whose buckets are all eliminated first loses the game.

  4. Winning the Game:

    • The team that eliminates all the opposing team’s buckets first is the winner.

  5. Tips for Play:

    • Adjust the throwing line distance to accommodate players of different ages or skill levels.

    • Keep extra balls on hand for faster gameplay.
